Readers' Theatre: Why is it Important?

Readers' Theatre is a wonderful way for children to develop reading fluency.  Fluency is:

    * recognizing words automatically
    * reading aloud effortlessly and without hesitation
    * reading without having to concentrate on decoding words

It allows children to focus on comprehension.
