The music I like

I discovered Mark Knopfler when I was 16, in a english course, through the studying of Telegraph Road from the Private Investigation Album.Since then, I never stopped listening to him. Of course I had to buy a red Strato and get nervous trying to play Sultan of Swing. My preferred albums are the two first ones, but I really like his recent solo albums too. The same unusual teacher made us discover "The Hurricane" protest song from Bob Dylan. I really like the early days & not "electrified" albums. Although not appreciated by many people, I really like the "smooth & nonchalant" atmosphere of "Slow Train Coming" with Mark playing guitar. As a young boy I clearly likes strong guitars and shouted-out energy like AC/DC with Bon Scott. But growing-up I moved to the Blues music, my favourite player being Robert Cray. His guitar playing is as clear as his voice, and he play a very modern blues.

Computer and gaming

My addiction to video game started with the DigDug and Galaxian when I was arround 10 (can't explain why the pacman or spaceinvaders did not catched my attention). I got my mother to buy me the Atari2006, while some friends got the Intellivision (sport games) or the ColecoVision (donkey kong). I always wanted to do IT... how sad! When I was 12 years old I used to spend afternoons in a computer shop to write little programs in basic until the shop closed, to start all over again the next day. I finally got my parents to buy me the Oric atmos (months before the birth of the c64). I then spent the summer writing little games (snake, skiing, pacman...).Sadly, these two devices filled-up a closet when I reached 16. Running on my 30's, I came back to my old addiction, thanks to sony and its PS-One. Our home looks like a museum now with a PS2, a GameBoyAdvance and a DS for my daughter Marie-Caroline, and a Wii, a PSP and a PS3 for me, collected over the past 10 years.
