UW online subscriptions...

The University of Worcester provides access to a number of useful online services, including exclusive journals content and members' only areas of websites. Registered University members only can approach library staff for more information. (We will check that you are a current staff or student member of the university before responding to your enquiry.) Email: askalibrarian@worc.ac.uk

New and Noteworthy
Journals from the ASE and HA (e.g. Primary Science, School Science Review, Teaching History etc) are available online via our memberships. However, they do not show up on our Journals A-Z or the catalogue! So don't forget to email askalibrarian@worc.ac.uk about access to these for students and staff only.

P4C.com: new subscription for Feb 2012 - resources and forums for philosophy, citizenship and cross-curricular subjects.

Recent and upcoming cancellations:
- Nursery World: at the request of academic staff. 'Not academic enough!'
- Imaginative Minds subs: (e.g. Creative Teaching and Learning, Leadership Briefings) Price increases made them economically unviable.
- UKLA subs: (UKLA News, Journal of Research in Reading) Available until end 2012. UKLA have changed their policies, effectively barring academic institutions from purchasing institutional membership, which also enables online access to selected journals with an additional charge. The new subscription prices for just the individual journals will be much higher.
- Child Education Plus: Scholastic made this available to personal subscribers only, and online only so the university can no longer provide access to this publication.
- TDA Mentoring and Coaching Library: this resource has been closed down. More details on its potential availability on the CUREE website at: http://www.tda.gov.uk/cpd-leader/support-tools/mentoring-coaching-framework.aspx?keywords=mentoring and http://www.curee.co.uk/news/2012/01/future-mentoring-and-coaching-resources-now-tda-extranet
