Bastien Le Seney came to England from Normandy in 1537 and was naturalized in 1541. He was employed by Henry VIII, principally as a clockmaker or keeper, and in 1546 was in charge of the Westminster Palace clock. His only known surviving instrument is an astrolabe carrying a wrongly executed coat-of-arms for Henry VIII. He died in about 1549.
