i remember . i remember , no electric power , no running water and telegrams were still useful . but now i am into the air conditioned swimming pool when possible . and smoke what you want is still possible in the good old usa , home of the grow your own farmer . no roadside checkpoints and no police searching tourists at the bus station or train station . at least for old white guys with short hair like me . now the airports are a different story altogether . shoes off and run around thru the checkpoints as you are yelled at and given the evil eye by the transportation security staff . few of whom are old or white or have hair as short as mine or speak english as a first language . oh the joys of civilization in the 3rd millenium .
anyway living is still at least as much fun as remembering .
