What is PACE?
As a professional artist you are making a valuable contribution
to our society, our culture and our community.
Supporting the creative community
Artists have been telling us what they need since 2001 so we have developed some strategies that can help you get started.
Planning and development
We'll talk to you to find out where you're at so together we can work out a purpose, direction and solid career plan for you. Then you will have a road map so you can see where you're going.
Seminar programmes
This is your chance to learn from your peers and industry professionals. You can find out important stuff like how to run a small business and dealing with tax, understanding the arts industry, how to access funding and other resources, branding and marketing ideas, your market value and career development strategies across the creative disciplines.
Mentoring
We have a comprehensive mentoring programme and you can be assigned an experienced professional in your chosen field to be your mentor. The mentor's role is to assist you with knowledge, practical advice and skills. You will work with a mentor mainly in groups to share ideas, get feedback and network with peers and industry professionals.
Internships and Career Opportunities
One of the primary goals of PACE is to create opportunities in the market place for creative professionals. An apprenticeship or internship program is to be put in place to provide industry knowledge and skills, income, experience and professional development.
