Mother Tongue Monday -- stories in different languages during Morning Break and Lunch Break -- in the library, etc.
Teacher Read-Aloud Tuesday -- teachers will swap classes for a read-aloud session.
Poem-in-Your-Pocket Wednesday -- we are asking everyone to have a poem ready to share at any time on Wednesday. Note that the Reading Room (off the library) is now stocked with plenty of poetry books to help you find a perfect poem.
Non-Fiction Thursday -- we are asking all students to read some non-fiction in your D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) time today.
Dress-Up Friday -- come to school dressed as a character from a book or story.

Bookaburra Books will be holding a book fair in the Canteenon Wednesday (9:00-4:30), Thursday (7:45-4:30), and Friday (7:45-3:30).
Infant parents are encouraged to visit the book fair with their children before or after school.
Junior students can buy books before and after school and during break times. They will also visit the book fair with their teachers during schooltime. Parents are asked to send money in with their children on their fair visit day -- as indicated below:

This is a great opportunity to pick up some holiday reading for your child; a percentage of sales will be donated to the Library so we can purchase more books too!

This illustration team, who just had their first children's book -- Monsters on the Wall -- published, came in and drew pictures of monsters, dinosaurs, fairies, and combination creatures for K1 students on March 23rd.

Roger Jenkins, storyteller and poet, will be entertaining Grade 2 students on Wednesday morning between 10:30 and 11:30.
